The Independent Democratic Union of South Africa (IDUSA) is a multi-sector trade union representing all workers across all 9 provinces. No company is too big or too small — we are the spear of the workers.
Founded on 17 January 2019 in Olievenhoutbosch, Pretoria, IDUSA is a township-based union where every worker could freely walk in and consult at any time. We consult on site, so you never have to travel unnecessarily.
What We Do For You

CCMA & Bargaining Councils
Representation in conciliations, arbitrations and con-arbs — at no extra cost to members in good standing.
Labour & Appeals Court
We represent members in the Labour Court, Appeals Court, magistrate and high courts across South Africa.
Disciplinary Hearings
Trained shop stewards and representatives stand with you in disciplinary hearings and unfair dismissal cases.
Salary Negotiations
Annual collective bargaining for salaries, provident funds, danger allowances and other benefits.
